More than 20 NFL greats joined co-hosts Steve "Monty" Montgomery, owner of The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach, and retired Washington Redskins player and two-time Super Bowl winner Reggie Branch June 21, at Kings Creek Country Club to raise approximately $10,000 for local youth sports organizations at the Sixth Annual Touchdowns for Kids Celebrity Beach Golf Tournament.
"We have great, fun events for good causes," said Montgomery of the event that annually draws celebrity players, cheerleaders, the notorious Hogettes and about 100 competitors.
The money raised by the nonprofit Touchdowns for Kids organization will be distributed to the Rehoboth and Dewey Beach junior lifeguard programs, Rehoboth Beach Little League and to Milton’s Cape Sharks Pop Warner Football, Montgomery said.
